At Christchurch Contemporary Music Centre we provide music lessons in a community-based setting at Redwood Primary School for children, teenagers and adults.
We teach, inspire and support students to experience a range of musical instruments in new and innovative ways. Our learners have the flexibility to take part in individual or group lessons that are catered to exactly what they want to learn. Then, once they’ve got a grasp of their chosen instrument, we encourage students to join in with one of our optional pop or rock bands as a part of our Band Mentorship Programme. Whether you've never picked up an instrument before or if you're already on your musical journey, we can help to ignite your passion for making music! |

About usWe currently teach the following instruments and classes:
• Guitar Lessons • Piano Lessons • Keyboard Lessons • Vocal/Singing Lessons • Drums & Percussion Lessons • Group Drumming & Percussion • Rock & Pop Band for Children & Teenagers • Group Piano Lessons for Junior (ages 5-6) or Primary (ages 7-10) • Preschool Music Classes for ages 2, 3 and 4 years old. Group lessons and preschool classes are held at both the Christchurch Music Academy's Barrington Mall studios and at Redwood Primary School. We operate on Saturdays at Redwood Primary School (51 Prestons Road, Christchurch) plus we have a permanent base with our sister school, Christchurch Music Academy, which is located at Level 1 Barrington Mall (256 Barrington St) offering music lessons during the week and weekends. |
